“I was involved in a road traffic accident twelve months ago and suffered a severe head injury. Dr Griffin was able to formulate my rehabilitation plan with the multi-disciplinary team, and explain to me in detail the path that I would expect my recovery to follow. She was honest, also warning me that my neurorehabilitation would take many months. It was very reassuring to have this process explained to me, as this was the first time that a health professional had sat down and given me traumatic brain injury education. “I fell off my bike six months ago, and sustained polytrauma with concussion. I had a long inpatient stay on a trauma ward at a Major Trauma Centre. As my injuries were so severe, my concussion was felt to be mild. I suffered multiple symptoms of fatigue, headaches, vertigo, brain fog and poor sleep for many weeks, until I saw Dr Griffin.
